And they tasted delicious!
They may not win any prizes at a Vegetable Show, but we are very proud of the little carrots we grew in our garden. And they tasted delicious!

One of our mummies who comes from Hungary came in to Nursery to tell us a Hungarian children's story with puppets. We then had a Hungarian snack and looked at some Hungarian embroidery.
Later, we went outside to do some Hungarian dancing to music - the boys had to tap their feet while the girls spun around! There's nothing quite like making and eating home-made biscuits in the depths of winter. Julie found a wonderful recipe for Rainbow Biscuits which was great fun to make - and even nicer to taste, although we had to try not eating too much cookie dough before we put them in the oven.
Everyone got to try the biscuits at snack time and there were even a few left over to give to Mums and Dads too :-) The children gave us a wonderful Nativtiy performance in the Barn on our last day of term. Mary & Joseph were led to the stable by the Donkey and had visits from Angels, Stars, Shepherds and Kings - and, of course, Baby Jesus!
Everyone came back into the Nursery to enjoy mulled wine and mince pies afterwards before heading home for Christmas! Mud, mud, glorious mud!
Nothing quite like it for making pies and chocolate cake and anything else you care to name. We had great fun collecting water from the drainpipe and mixing it up with special ingredients to make lots of yummy things. If you were especially lucky, you might even get some grass topping. Afterwards, we all zoomed around the fire pit playing racing cars. We all went for an Autumn Walk this afternoon and found these HUGE pumpkins growing on Peter's compost heap. We took it in turns to clamber up and have our picture taken - then we got in our boat and rowed away!
We welcomed lots of new friends to our Nursery this month who had a busy time meeting new people, having birthdays, learning about our Montessori equipment and even making bread!
